It would have been a great time if someone living along the trial would not have went got a gun out house and fired it bc he didnt like our music! Then when the trip was finished the police told us we lucky he didnt shoot us and that he grew up with that man so leave it alone or he would find a way to ticket us...not happening again! Kids were around and all! For the police to say its ok to fire a gun is just unacceptable!

No better place to have a good time camping, tubing, kayaking and canoeing

A really nice facility we went early in the season and had no trouble getting a 50 amp full service site for our RV and where the first people to rent the brand new Old Town sit-on-top Kayaks that this facility uses

We got shot at by an old man because he didn't like our music choice. What's funny is we changed the music the moment he said something. We were canoeing down the river when this happened and the old man started running his mouth about our music so we changed it and that's when he went in his house and pulled out a gun and shot at us. We notified the police but they were unhelpful since the cop knew the man who shot at us. Way to go law enforcement! If there ever is a next time with this place I'll be armed to protect my family from the gun toting lunatic but other than that I wouldn't want to bring my family here ever again! Good luck and arm urself people!

DO NOT GO CANOEING HERE!!!! We have been customers here for many years and have never been treated like we were on our recent trip. The water way has gotten worse every year but we have still always pushed that aside beings we know they don't ride through and cut anything to help when big trees fall like others places do. This year though we got yelled at, cursed out, and shot at ( yes you read that right) by the locals. When we got to a safe area to stop we called the business to let them know and they already knew because the locals called them already (the locals were family/close friends). Then the cops were involved and we were told by canoe and trail and the cops that we are lucky the dad wasn't alive because he would have actually shot us and not at us. We will not be returning here ever again it is not a safe place to be. They DO NOT care about their customers one bit!!!!
